A Heartbroken and Isolated Mama Dog at the Shelter Found a New Beginning When She Was Rescued
She was in this little kennel, looking so depressed that it was obvious she had given birth to puppies.
“In April of 2022 I fell into severe depression and my anxiety was at an all-time high and I was like okay, I live on my own and it was finally time to get a dog, I just went to the shelter and passed her a few times and she was one of the dogs that was very calm While the rest were barking,” according to her owner, Sarah
They were used for breeding and then escaped or were thrown away somewhere because they were no longer needed.
“I met her in our backyard, we had an instant connection, she jumped in and wanted affection for me and let me pet her little belly and I adopted her later that night.”
When I got it, it instantly made me feel less alone and happier with the state the world had been in for the past few years, where I wasn’t a social person and couldn’t see friends. When things get tough, it motivates me to come out and stare at me and say, ‘Okay,'” Sarah said.
“Things she brought to my attention when I met her at the shelter. I like to think she understands what I’m saying. She simply can’t respond to me with physical words. She definitely knows when I need an extra cuddle.”
“I tell her all the time how much I love her and how grateful I am that she chose me.” “We are like two peas in a pod, and we will always agree.”
