Scotty McCreery is an American country music singer who rose to fame after winning the tenth season of American Idol in 2011. While he is primarily known for his impressive vocal abilities, McCreery has also shown off his dancing skills on several occasions. Whether it’s at awards shows or during his own concerts, McCreery knows how to get the crowd on their feet with his energetic dance moves.
One memorable performance where McCreery showed off his dancing skills was during the finale of American Idol. Alongside fellow finalists Lauren Alaina and Haley Reinhart, McCreery performed a medley of songs that included a rendition of “She’s Not You” by Elvis Presley. During the song, McCreery busted out some impressive hip swivels and shimmies that had the audience cheering.
McCreery’s dance skills have also been on full display during his live concerts. In a review of one of his shows, Billboard noted that “McCreery got the crowd up and dancing with his upbeat tunes and infectious energy.” The review also praised his “smooth dance moves,” which included everything from classic two-step to more modern moves like the dab.
Despite his success on the dance floor, McCreery remains humble about his abilities. In an interview with Taste of Country, he admitted that he’s not a trained dancer but loves to move around on stage. “I don’t have any formal dance training, but I do enjoy getting out there and having fun,” he said. “As long as I can make people smile and enjoy themselves, that’s all that matters to me.”
