The Dog with a Terminal Illness Was Rejected by Four Families – Until a Young Man Embraced It Warmly
This dog was rejected by his family because he had a tumor on his head and only had a few weeks to live
Thank you for making this puppy so happy
To think that a family could reject an animal because it is sick is unfathomable to us animal lovers, but unfortunately that is the situation that Thanos finds himself in.
This beautiful big dog was rejected by his family because he had a cancerous tumor growing on his head and only had a few weeks left to live.
Fortunately, Luciano Carosas, of Berazategui in Buenos Aires, welcomed Thanos into his home so he can live out his days with unconditional love.
While waiting to be adopted, the sick puppy was rejected by four families due to his illness.
The 21-year-old couldn’t resist giving this dog all the love during his final weeks after hearing how many families were abandoning him, unable to cope with his illness.
Rejected by four families
In addition to suffering from this cruel disease, Thanos had to deal with constant rejection and being returned to the animal shelter by four different families who found they could not handle the sick dog.
“I walked away with a piece of my heart in my hand,” he told Portal Amigo Cao.
Not only did Luciano want to make Thanos’ final days as comfortable as possible, he also tried to rescue him and take him to his local vet clinic to see if they could remove the tumor.
“I found it difficult to adjust to the idea of the lack of time we would spend together,” he said, according to what was reported by the Unilad newspaper.
“I took him to a stem cell vet to see what we could do, looking for more hope (who gave him 40 days to live) and he told me there was no treatment to extend that period.”
It made him happy in his final weeks
After the devastating news that nothing could be done, Luciano simply decided that the two would make the most of the limited time Thanos had left.
Thanos got all the love and pampering during his final weeks, but eventually this cruel disease took the better of him and he passed away earlier this year.
“I will love you forever,” he wrote on social media to honor his four-legged friend Luciano.
I cannot believe this sweet dog has been rejected by so many families in his hour of need. All he needed was some extra love when this terrible disease took over. I’m glad he’s not in pain anymore.
Please share to honor the big-hearted Luciano who welcomed Thanos and loved him the way he deserved. Rest in peace Thanos.
